Review by hotel critic
As an anthropologist deeply connected to local cultures, my recent stay at Kundalini offered a culinary journey that rivaled my fieldwork adventures. The Lido Beach Grill, offering international cuisine and signature cocktails daily, was a delight. Savoring dishes made from locally sourced ingredients not only tantalized my taste buds but also fueled a sense of sustainability that resonated with my values. The Flow of the Heart Cafe, just a stone's throw away, provided a serene setting for sipping fresh juice, allowing me to reflect on the fusion of flavors echoing the biodiversity of the Andes. At breakfast, the generous spread of continental and local specialties at Dharma Beach Restaurant transported me to traditional markets in Peru. The ambiance of Pigro's Homemade Italian Food was a nostalgic escape, reminiscent of my time studying in Tuscany. The bar's offerings at Kundalini were a delightful exploration of mixology, complementing the exquisite flavors of the region. In conclusion, Kundalini's gastronomic offerings not only satisfied my palate but also opened a sensory portal to the culinary treasures of Peru and Ecuador.
